BRAC Bank to provide unsecured loans to BASIS members


A memorandum of understanding has been signed between BRAC Bank and BASIS to provide collateral-free credit facilities to the members of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS). This initiative will play an important role in the development and innovation of the ICT sector in Bangladesh.

A very helpful move for the country's ICT sector, as now over 2,500 BASIS members will get collateral-free loans and one-stop services from BRAC Bank.

This strategic alliance will deliver a financing solution specifically designed for BASIS members. This will specifically help them reach their goals of entrepreneurship through easy financing and contribute to the economic development of the country.

This unsecured loan facility will provide easy credit facilities for BRAC Bank's innovation efforts and business expansion, highlighting its commitment to support the sustainable development of the ICT sector.

BRAC Bank's Deputy Managing Director and Head of SME Banking Syed Abdul Momen and Basis' Vice President of Finance M Asif Rahman signed the MoU in a ceremony at BRAC Bank's head office on October 31.

On the occasion, Syed Abdul Momen said that through this partnership with BASIS, we are very happy to extend a helping hand to ICT entrepreneurs in a new way. We are helping BASIS members achieve their business goals and contribute to the digital development of Bangladesh with unsecured loan facilities. This easy loan facility will help the entrepreneurs to carry out operations and increase the volume of exports.

BASIS President M Rashidul Hasan, Director Biplab Ghosh and Director Mir Shahrukh Islam, BRAC Bank Head of Emerging Corporate Indrajit Sur and Head of Small Business (Central) Alamgir Hossain were present on the occasion.

As a pioneer in SME banking, BRAC Bank is committed to ensuring easy lending to potential entrepreneurs, which will help diversify the export sector and increase income by increasing investment in diversified sectors such as the ICT sector.
