BNP's three organizations, Jubo Dal, Swachhasebak Dal and Chhatra Dal, have started a long march from Dhaka to Akhaura. This long march started after a short rally in front of BNP's central office in Nayapaltan of the capital today at 9 am on Wednesday. BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi officially inaugurated the program of Long March.
Central leaders of three organizations including Jubo Dal President M Monayem Munna, General Secretary Nurul Islam Nayan, Swachhasebak Dal President SM Jilani, General Secretary Rajeev Ahsan, Chhatra Dal President Rakibul Islam Rakib, General Secretary Nashir Uddin Nashir are on the long march.
At the beginning of the program, Youth Party President M Monayem Munna said, 'We are doing this peaceful long march to express our protest and anger. We will go till Akhaura. We will finish this program through the rally there.'
It can be seen on the surface, the leaders and workers of three organizations took part in this long march with microbuses and private cars. Each vehicle is fitted with a 'Long March' sticker and has the national flag of Bangladesh and the party flag of BNP in front of the vehicle.
Juba Dal general secretary Nurul Islam Nayan said, 'The long march will take place in Bhairab via Ittefaq Mor, Signboard, Chittagong Road, Kanchpur Mor, Tarab, Bhulta, Gauchia, Madhavadi, Itakhola, Morjal, Raruicha. From there it will reach Akhaura. The long march will end by rallying there.'
Chhatra Dal President Rakibul Islam Rakib presided over the program and Rajeev Ahsan of the Volunteers spoke at the beginning of the program. M Monayem Munna of Juba Dal, Nurul Islam Nayan, SM Jilani and Nazmul Hasan of Svechasevak Dal addressed the short rally moderated by Nashir Uddin Nashir of Chhatra Dal.
The leaders of Jubo Dal-Swechchasevak Dal-Chhatra Dal gave a protest march and memorandum in the direction of the High Commission of India in Baridhara, Dhaka on December 8 to protest the attack on the Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh in Agartala, India and desecration of the national flag.
