BNP submitted proposals for police reform


BNP has submitted proposals for reforming the police administration. The BNP submitted this proposal to Police Administration Reform Commission chief Safarraj Hossain at the International Mother Language Institute building in Segunbagicha of the capital on Thursday afternoon.

BNP Chairperson's Advisory Council Member Former Secretary SM Zahirul Islam submitted this proposal on behalf of the party. Shayrul Kabir Khan, a member of BNP's media cell, gave this information.

Earlier, BNP submitted a written proposal to the Constitution Reform Commission. Salahuddin Ahmed, a member of the Standing Committee of the BNP, handed it over to the head of the commission, Professor Ali Riaz, at the office of the Reforms Commission at Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan on November 26.

The BNP has already finalized a set of constitutional reform proposals including the introduction of a bicameral parliament, re-introduction of the caretaker government system, balancing the powers of the president and the prime minister. These proposals have been finalized based on the 31 points announced by the party.

BNP has proposed 31 points of reforms aimed at repairing the state structure. According to related sources, there are reform proposals to be finalized including declaring equality, human dignity and justice as the basic principles of the constitution.
