Being a list of banned Chhatra League leaders at the police station

Police have started special activities to investigate the leaders and activists of the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League. Chhatra League leaders are being listed at each police station under the direction of the police headquarters. The initiative has been reported to understand the activities of the organization's leaders and activists, political involvement, social activities and potential future plans.

The initiative was reported by talking to police headquarters, police superintendent (SP) of different districts and several police officers at the thana level. Police officials say no harassment, not to sue; In the interest of the security of the state, the information and data of the leaders and activists of the Awami League fraternal organization Chhatra League are being verified.

According to police sources, the banned Chhatra League leaders and activists can try to deteriorate the law and order situation in the country. That is why they are trying to organize. District police superintendents have been instructed from the police headquarters to follow their activities from that fear. They have been asked to collect their list from all the police stations and send it to the headquarters. The police headquarters said the Chhatra League was a banned organization. According to the law, all their activities are punishable offenses.

Asked about the Assistant Inspector General of Police Headquarters (Spokesperson) Enamul Haque Sagar said the case was a regular part of the case. However, the district police superintendents will be able to say the letter on the BCL list.

Chhatra League leaders and activists are hiding after the fall of the Awami League government on August 7 last year in the student coup. Some have been arrested. The interim government declared the Bangladesh Chhatra League ban on October 25 last year. At the same time, the BCL was listed as a forbidden entity. Thousands of Awami League and its organizing leaders have been charged in numerous cases across the country on various charges including murder, murder, attacks and attacks during the anti-discrimination student movement. More than 5 former ministers, former parliamentarians and many leaders of the party have been arrested. But the leaders of the BCL were not arrested except a few in hand.

According to police sources, intelligence information has been said that the leaders and activists of the Chhatra League are trying to create unstable situation in the country by organizing hiding. So they need to be covered under the law.

A letter has been given to the police station from the office of the District Police Superintendent after the police headquarters were directed to prepare the list of leaders and activists of the BCL. According to a letter sent to Fax and E-mail, the police officer (OC) has been instructed to collect five types of information from the BCL leaders at the police station. There is an urgent name and identity of the leader of the Branch Chhatra League, national identity card number, passport number (if any), political identity and organization, details of past and current activities, GD or case are urgently.

Asked about the progress of the list of leaders and activists of the BCL, Narayanganj District Superintendent of Police Pratish Kumar Majumder told today's newspaper on Saturday that the list of leaders and activists of the banned organizations had been prepared. Among these organizations are the BCL.

A police superintendent of the Chittagong Range, who did not want to be named, said that information about the BCL leaders was being collected as per the directive. However, it is not part of any repression, but in the interest of security.

According to crime analysts, the police are monitoring the possibility of restructuring or alternative energy after the Chhatra League ban. Therefore, the political situation in the country has already been monitored by the Chhatra League leaders.

When asked, former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammad Nurul Huda told today's newspaper, “If anyone is threatening for the state, the police will list and take action – it is very normal. This applies not just for any party, but for any banned organization.
