ATM Azharul Islam, Nayeb Amir of the party and member of parliament from Rangpur-2 seat raised the question whether the government wants to establish a one-party rule by banning Jamaat-e-Islami or wants to rehabilitate Awami League.
He raised such a question in the budget session of the 13th National Parliament on Sunday.
He asked who will fill the void if Jamaat-e-Islami is banned.
He said, “You have banned Jamaat. I just want to say one thing, I think we are banned. Who will fill this void? Will you run the country alone? Will you establish one-party rule? If not, who will fill it?”
At the same time, he also mentioned that it seems that the government wants to bring back Awami League.
“Do you want to rehabilitate the Awami League? I think you want to rehabilitate the Awami League. Because even in four months they have not found a person who will be the president? You like the person of the fascist government. They are trying to keep him.”
This leader of Jamaat said in the parliament that to eliminate the fascists, all their traces must be erased.
“Why does such a big BNP party like him so much? Have you got any indication that he should be kept? We don’t know. Please explain to the people and if you want to eliminate the fascists, then remove all traces of the fascists,” said Mr. Islam
At the beginning of the speech of the budget session of the Jatiya Sangsad, this Jamaat-e-Islami leader recalled the five top leaders of his party and demanded justice.
Jamaat-e-Islami leaders Matiur Rahman Nizami, Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid, Kamaruzzaman, Abdul Quader Molla, Mir Kashem Ali have been executed in the case of 71 crimes against humanity.

It should be noted that the leader of Jamaat-e-Islami was sentenced to death in the case of crimes against humanity in 1971 by the International Criminal Tribunal. That judgment was also upheld by the Appellate Division.
