After the seven days of holy Eid-ul-Azha holiday, the regular activities of public and private offices, courts, banks-insurance, autonomous organizations and capital markets are starting again from tomorrow Monday across the country.
On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival of Muslims, a consecutive public holiday was declared from May 25 to 31. Considering the urgent need during the Eid holidays, some bank branches will be open on a limited scale, but full transactions will start in all the scheduled banks of the country from tomorrow.
At the same time, the two main capital markets of the country—Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE)—are resuming regular trading. Investors and stakeholders are expecting that after a long holiday, the market will pick up the pace of transactions.
