Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU), the financial intelligence department of the central bank, has summoned the bank account information of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her sister Sheikh Rehana and their family members.
This week, the organization has sent instructions in this regard to the country's banks and financial institutions.
BFIU's letter in this regard has sought information on Sheikh Hasina, her son Sajib Ahmed Wazed (Joy), daughter Saima Wazed Hossain (Putul), Sheikh Rehana, her son Radwan Mujib Siddique, daughter Tulip Rizwana Siddique and Azmina Siddique.
The BFIU took this initiative after the news about Tulip living in several flats provided by different people in the UK.
Earlier on December 8, Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana's account information was sought.
