Arab Finance: Engineer Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources held a meeting in the Emirate of Dubai with Song Yu, Chairman and CEO United Energy Group (UEG), engineer Kamel Al -Sawy, regional head of the company for the Africa region, and the accompanying delegation.
The meeting dealt with UEG's keenness to enhance its investment expansion inside Egypt, taking advantage of the positive and attractive climate for the investment provided by the state, as well as the successes achieved by the strategic partnership between the company and the Egyptian oil sector in the State of Iraq, which encourages it to discuss new prospects for cooperation and expansion in regional and international markets in partnership with Egypt.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the opportunities for cooperation in energy trade activities, in a way that contributes to promoting commercial integration and expanding access to global markets, in light of the joint trend towards deepening the international presence and raising the efficiency of the value chain for the energy sector, and during the meeting the minister witnessed the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and the UEG company, with the aim of setting a general framework for cooperation in exploring investment opportunities in the oil and gas sectors inside and outside Egypt, with it Search the ability to expand renewable energy projects and energy circulation activities.
After the signing, Song Yu expressed his appreciation for fruitful cooperation with the Egyptian oil sector, noting that the successes achieved on the ground enhances the company's desire to continue expanding the partnership, especially in light of the strategic axes and the relentless efforts pursued by the Ministry of Petroleum under the leadership of the Minister of Petroleum to attract investments and develop the sector.
