Arab Finance: The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources expressed its strong dissatisfaction with the publication and circulation of false news by some media outletsPostponing the Italian company “Eni”. Production of new quantities of gas from the Zohr field until May 2025, instead of January, due to the instability of the weather at sea during the winter; Without seeking to obtain the correct information from its authentic sources, whether through the official spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources or Eni, the operator of the Zohr field.
In this regard, the Ministry confirms the continuation of work with Eni without any delay to the previously prepared schedule, which is confirmed by the company’s statements that the drilling ship is preparing to arrive in Egypt to begin drilling work this January using modern technologies, with the aim of increasing production and returning to production plans. Approved.
The Ministry calls on all media outlets to ensure accuracy and rely on official sources when publishing any information related to the petroleum and mineral resources sector in Egypt, by communicating directly with the official spokesman for the Ministry via the following email: (Official.Spokesperson@petroleum.gov.eg).
The Ministry also affirms that it reserves its legal right to take the necessary measures against parties that publish false news that would harm the state’s economic interests.
