Arab Finance: Engineer Hassan Al-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, met with Khadim Abdullah Al-Darai, the founding partner and member of the board of directors of the UAE’s Al-Dhahirah Holding Company, to review the company’s current and future projects in the Egyptian market in the field of agricultural investment.
The meeting also reviewed the company's desire to expand and increase its investments in the Arab Republic of Egypt and to acquire new lands and projects, noting that the company is one of the largest companies operating in the field of agricultural production operating in Egypt.
Al-Khatib stressed the ministry’s keenness to provide all aspects of support and facilities to the company to increase its investments in the agricultural sector, which is one of the strategic sectors of the national economy, and contributes to providing the needs of the local market and increasing Egyptian exports to foreign markets.
For his part, Mr. Khadim Abdullah Al-Darai, co-founder and member of the Board of Directors of the Emirati Al Dahra Holding Company, expressed the company’s aspiration to expand its investments in the agricultural sector in Egypt and support the sector’s exports to various foreign markets. Pointing out that the company is working to enhance security in Egypt, as it owns 3 major agricultural projects in Toshka, East Al-Owainat, and Al-Salhiya.
He added that the company's projects focus on the production of citrus fruits, wheat, corn, and sugar beets, noting that the company is one of the world's leading companies in the field of agricultural reclamation, as the company owns agricultural projects in Egypt, Romania, Serbia, and the United States of America.
