Arab Finance: The Minister of Agriculture announced the opening of the Vietnamese market for the first time to… Egypt's grape exportsAccording to a report he received from Dr. Mohamed Al-Mansi, head of the Egyptian Agricultural Quarantine.
The report stated that as of November 15, 2024, the Vietnamese market has become open to Egyptian exporters of the grape crop, according to the letter from the Vietnamese side in this regard.
Al-Mansy said, “This success of the Egyptian agricultural quarantine comes after negotiations exceeding five years with its Vietnamese counterpart, which ended with the successful visit of a delegation from the Vietnamese agricultural quarantine last August, which resulted in the agreement of the Egyptian agricultural quarantine with the Vietnamese side and the establishment of phytosanitary controls for the export of Egyptian grapes to Vietnam.
It should be noted that the total agricultural exports, during the period from January 1, 2024 until October 30, exceeded 7.1 million tons of agricultural products, amounting to about 4.1 billion dollars, an increase of more than one billion dollars over the same period last year.
