A man has killed at least seven people in a shooting rampage in Istanbul, Turkey. After killing them, he committed suicide. This incident happened on Sunday (November 24) in an area near Istanbul.

Today, Monday (November 25), Turkish authorities said that the gunman named Bahtiyar Aladag (33) shot and killed seven people. Among them are the man's father, mother, wife and 10-year-old son. Later he also committed suicide by shooting himself with his own gun.
The man was found dead in his car shortly after the shooting, the Istanbul governor's office said in a statement. He is accused of trying to shoot two other members of the family. One of them is in critical condition.
Earlier, authorities had reported four deaths in the shooting on Sunday evening. However, early Monday morning, local officials reported finding the bodies of the killer's wife, son and mother-in-law near a lake in Istanbul.
According to Switzerland-based research institute Small Arms Survey (SAS), there are more than 133 million firearms in Turkey, a country with a population of about 85 million. Most of these are illegal.
