Arab Finance: The Egyptian Petrochemical Holding Company is seeking to obtain a loan worth $700 million, to finance the soda ash project in New Alamein City, the silicon production project, as well as the bio-ethanol production project in Damietta, according to Al-Sharq Economy.
The company intends to obtain this amount from Emirates NBD, the National Bank of Kuwait, and Qatar National Bank, in addition to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the African Export-Import Bank (Afrixim Bank).
The Egyptian Petrochemical Holding Company is one of the companies affiliated with the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum. It includes 9 projects that produce 4 million tons of petrochemical materials, and its annual sales reached 37 billion pounds from the local and foreign markets during 2023-2024, according to the Egyptian State Information Service.
