The incident that puts relationships to shame has shaken Bijwada village of Binauli area of Baghpat district. The wife with whom he had promised to stay with her for seven lives has been accused of conspiring to murder her husband. It is alleged that the wife, along with her lover, poured petrol on the sleeping husband and set him on fire. The seriously burnt young man struggled between life and death for six days, but finally his breathing stopped during treatment in Meerut hospital.

Rajiv alias Kala, resident of Bijwada village, was living with his family. On the night of 21st June, everything was normal in the house, but late at night such a dreadful game was played which broke the entire family. It is alleged that when Rajiv was sleeping deeply, his wife Nisha alias Nishu, along with village resident Vikrant, poured petrol on him and set him on fire.
When Rajiv woke up surrounded by flames, he found himself burning. Screaming in pain he ran out of the house. Hearing his screams, nearby people reached the spot and somehow extinguished the fire. The family took him to the hospital in a critical condition, where the doctors referred him to Meerut considering his condition to be serious.

Rajiv, who was fighting for his life in the hospital, died after six days.
After the incident, the police had also recorded Rajiv’s statement. Based on the complaint of family members, a case of murderous attack was registered against his wife Nisha and Vikrant at Binauli police station. Police started investigating the case and arrested both the accused. Here, Rajiv, who was fighting for his life in the hospital for six days, finally died. After the death, murder charges are being increased in the case. The police is interrogating both the accused and trying to connect the entire sequence of the incident.
There is chaos in the family after Rajiv’s death. Family members allege that Rajiv’s life was taken by betraying the relationship of trust. The deceased’s brother Sachin has demanded the harshest punishment for the accused. He says that the way his brother was burnt is a shocking incident for any human being. Inspector RK Sharma says that based on the facts and evidence revealed in the investigation, strict action will be taken against the accused.
