Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Kunal Ghosh has made serious allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party government in West Bengal. He said that the state government is targeting MLAs loyal to former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee amid the ongoing internal tussle in the Trinamool Congress. Kunal Ghosh said that the leaders who are standing with Mamata Banerjee and are associated with the TMC which was formed by Mamata Banerjee herself, are being put under pressure by implicating them in old cases or other allegations. He alleged that no action is being taken against the leaders of the other side.

According to news agency ANI, Kunal Ghosh said that people supporting Mamata Banerjee are being arrested and harassed. Former councilor Deblina Biswas told that this meeting was called by the new All India Trinamool Congress Board formed on June 22. He said that in this meeting, old councilors were called to talk about the problems being faced in their respective areas.

Claim of MLA expelled from TMC

MLA Sandipan Saha, who was expelled from TMC, claimed that most of the party’s MLAs, old councilors and senior leaders are now with him. He said that it has become clear who will take over the next leadership of Trinamool Congress in the coming times. He said that this meeting was held in Kolkata to strengthen the organization and many councilors of Kolkata Municipal Corporation also participated in it. Earlier this month, Ritabrata Banerjee’s rebel group had announced the new TMC leadership. In this, Arup Roy was made the chairperson and this group claimed that at least 58 MLAs were with them. Along with this, this group had also formed a National Working Committee of 30 members, while Mamata Banerjee has been kept as the guide of the party.
