Mukesh Ambani will have stake in Dharma Production
Saregama India Limited was earlier looking to buy stake in Dharma Productions. This information came to light only last week through the report of Economic Times. Now there is also discussion that Reliance can buy stake in Dharma Production. Till now information regarding this deal has not been revealed. Currently, 90.7 percent stake in Dharma Productions is with Karan Johar and the remaining shares are with his mother Hiroo Johar.
It already has stakes in companies like Jio Studio, Viacom 18 in the Reliance Industry content portfolio. Jio Studios is currently the largest film studio in the country. Jio Studio had collected Rs 700 crore at the box office during the year 2023-24. The company has produced the film Stree 2 in collaboration with Maddock Films, which has become the highest-grossing Hindi film in history so far.
