India behind Nijjar's murder, ban on RSS network; What did the MP close to Justin Trudeau say?


There has been tension in the relations between India and Canada due to the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's former coalition partner and New Democratic Party (NDP) leader Jagmeet Singh has also started showing his stance. He claimed that Sikhs in Canada are scared and troubled. The pro-Khalistan MP demanded the Canadian government to take action in this matter. He pleaded for diplomatic sanctions against India.

Jagmeet Singh, considered close to Justin Trudeau, issued a statement saying, 'We are in support of India's decision to expel diplomats. Demand from the Canadian government to once again impose diplomatic sanctions against India. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh network (RSS) should be banned here. “Anyone involved in criminal activity on Canadian soil will face serious consequences.”

'Sikh community in Canada scared'

Jagmeet Singh said that his party is extremely concerned by the information released by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. He said, 'The Sikh community in Canada is scared. The reason for this is alleged threats, harassment and violence from the Indian authorities. Singh alleged that Canada has credible evidence of involvement of Indian officials in the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar. “Canada has long had credible evidence that the Narendra Modi government was involved in the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil,” she said. The US has already convicted several individuals for related crimes.

'Warning of serious threat against 13 people'

The pro-Khalistan MP said that from September 2023, the RCMP has warned 13 people of serious danger against them. The safety of Canadian people has not been assured yet. Earlier, Canadian PM Trudeau said that he has shared all the information he has regarding the allegations of involvement of Indian officials in the murder of a Canadian citizen last year, especially with his close allies, including the US. Trudeau's hastily arranged press conference came as India expelled six Canadian diplomats on Monday. Announced the recall of its High Commissioner from Canada and other diplomats and officials who were being targeted.
