Case against Jubo Dal leader on rape charges

A case has been filed against a Juba Dal leader named Al Amin Chayal for raping a housewife in Lakshmipur.

On Sunday (May 31) afternoon, investigating officer and Sub-Inspector (SI) of Sadar Model Police Station Abu Hanif confirmed the case.

Earlier on Saturday (May 30) night, the victim housewife filed the case as plaintiff.

Accused Al-Amin is the son of Abu Chayal of North Charramani village of Charramani Mohan Union of Sadar Upazila and is the leader of the Union Juba Dal.

According to the source of the case, the husband of the victim housewife is an expatriate. On this occasion, Al-Amin was giving him bad suggestions at various times. Not agreeing to this, the accused used to throw bricks and stones at the tin roof of his house. At this stage, the housewife went to her father’s house 9 months ago after being fed up.

Last Ramadan, he went to his in-laws again. After that, Al-Amin was again giving him a bad proposal. On Thursday (May 28) night, when the housewife came out of the house to answer the call of nature, he raped her. The accused also threatened to kill the victim’s only son if he reported the incident to anyone or filed a case.

The victim’s housewife’s brother said, we want justice for the criminal. The culprit should get maximum punishment.

Jubo Dal leader Al-Amin Chayal’s mobile phone was called several times to get a statement on the matter, but he did not receive it.

Deputy Inspector (SI) of Laxmipur Sadar Model Police Station Abu Hanif said, “The case is under investigation. The accused will be arrested very soon.
