Greater Noida Surajpur Kotwali Police has arrested four accused of the gang involved in theft from three houses, including a businessman, on Friday. Police have recovered cash and gold jewelery worth about Rs 50 lakh from their possession. The auto recovered in the theft incident was purchased at a cheap price due to non-payment of finance installment, which the gang used for theft and recce.
Central DCP Shailendra Singh said that Pradeep Yadav alias Fauji, son of Veer Singh, resident of Tumaraighat village, Sambhal, Shiv Kumar alias Chuncha, son of Veer Singh, Veeresh alias Veera, son of Madanpal, resident of Dhanipur village of Sambhal and Suraj alias Bunta, son of Raju alias Pappu Ahirwar, resident of Mahoba, have been arrested.
Thieves had committed three major crimes
He told that in three days the accused had committed three major incidents of theft by breaking the locks of locked houses in Delta-1 and Omicron-3. Earlier, this gang used to ride in autos and raid closed houses in sectors and societies of Delhi-NCR region.
After that he used to commit theft by breaking the lock and grill. After that they would keep the stolen goods in the auto and run away. There are five members in this gang. Out of which two accused used to monitor the people coming and going while staying in the auto. Others used to enter inside the house and carry out the incident.
Theft in the house of a businessman who had gone to Ladakh
On May 21, members of the same gang had committed theft in house B-260 located in Omicron-3. Businessman Manas Gupta had gone to Ladakh with his family on May 15. Thieves had stolen gold sets and Rs 3.70 lakh in cash from the safe kept in the house. Apart from this, on May 24, theft was committed in houses F-524 and E-328 of Delta-1. There are 6 cases registered against the main accused Pradeep Yadav, 11 cases against Veeresh, 10 against Suraj and 12 cases against Shiv Kumar.
Stolen goods recovered from the accused
DCP Shailendra Kumar said that another member of the gang is still absconding, in search of whom several teams are conducting raids. Two gold chains, three gold biscuits, 65 thousand rupees in cash, three gold necklaces, four bracelets, 11 rings, Mangalsutra, were recovered from them. Silver Rs 2000 note, an auto, three knives and other items have been recovered. Whose value the police is saying is around Rs 50 lakh.
