According to the international group Tasnim News AgencyLebanon’s Hezbollah issued a statement condemning the action of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in announcing the non-acceptance of the Iranian ambassador and requesting his removal from Lebanon, and considered it an illegal decision based on foreign pressure.
Hezbollah described the decision as an “irresponsible, hasty and legalless action” that conforms to “foreign pressures and orders” instead of national interests.
This movement emphasized that the accusation of the Iranian ambassador’s interference in Lebanon’s internal affairs is a “political and baseless excuse” and the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is a “violation of the powers of the president”.
Hezbollah warned that this action in the current sensitive situation will lead Lebanon to a “dangerous path of division and weakness” and actually serves “Israel’s interests”.
In the statement, it was emphasized that the foreign minister remained silent against the “obvious interferences of the United States”, but he took a baseless position against the “friendly and supportive government of Lebanon”.
Hezbollah asked the president and the prime minister to force the foreign minister to “immediately cancel” this decision.
According to this statement, Hezbollah warned about the consequences of this action of the foreign ministry of the Western-oriented Salam government on the security and unity of the country.
