Time for the last descents and time to take stock of the 2025-2026 ski season which in recent weeks has brought snowfalls in the Alps and Apennines, such as on Abetone for example, a viaticum for an extension of the season. The one in Friuli Venezia Giulia was a record with 10 million passages. Over the course of the season, over 960 thousand first entries were registered with an increase in skiers on the slopes of +6.3% compared to last year. Revenues (+5%) and tickets sold (+5%) also grew. There were 122 days of skiing and over twenty events were organized in the six centers with over 500 outdoor activities across the entire regional Alpine arc. As for the performance of the individual districts, the most marked increase is for Forni di Sopra, followed by Piancavallo, Tarvisio, Sappada-Forni Avoltri, Ravascletto-Zoncolan and Sella Nevea.
«These are the results of a program that has been going on for eight years now. And even though the bar is raised year after year, records are not long in coming – explains Sergio Emidio Bini, regional councilor for Tourism of FVG -. We are pleased to see that almost all the ski resorts in the region have been characterized by the plus sign. This demonstrates how much our slopes are loved, and also the quality of the services offered to skiers. There is still a long way to go. We are investing further not only in the systems, but above all in services, in accommodation facilities, hotels, widespread hotels, apartments for tourist use, in short, everything that completes the offer in our mountain hubs”. For next season, enthusiasts could find an increase in ski passes. «We have had the rates unchanged for a few years now, very low, perhaps too low – continues Bini – we will think about a possible adjustment for the next season».
