To win one Rajya Sabha seat out of five, Tejashwi Yadav also did what he had not done in the Assembly – bringing AIMIM along. Still, the series of defeats did not stop. If Tejashwi had won one seat, it would have been a big victory for him, but one of his own and three Congress MLAs have raised questions on his existence.

It was already being said that there would be ‘use’ of money power in the elections. Any party had to ‘manage’ to win the fifth seat. Tejashwi Yadav took along five MLAs from Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM and the only MLA from Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party. After this, he only had to keep his MLAs who were already in the Grand Alliance with him. He could not control one of his MLAs. Along with this, three Congress MLAs remained missing. On behalf of the Grand Alliance, RJD MLA Kumar Sarvjeet said that now the whole country knows who uses money power? BJP has used money power. This has been tricked. This is an insult to the public. On the absence of four Grand Alliance MLAs, Kumar Sarvjeet said that the MLAs who did not participate in the voting process have betrayed the public. The tag of ex-MLA will be stuck on him for the rest of his life.
