Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has increased the price of gold and silver in the country after 8 and a half hours. In a notification, they said, according to the new fixed price, the price of gold per 22 carat will be Tk 2 lakh 68 thousand 690 from tomorrow, March 1.
This decision was taken in an emergency meeting of Bajus Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring at 7 pm today Saturday. Earlier this Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in a meeting of this committee, the price of gold per 22 carat was fixed at Tk 2 lakh 65 thousand 429. That is, the price of gold increased by 3 thousand 261 taka in a span of 8 and a half hours.
In the notification, Bajus also informed that the new price of 21 carat gold is Tk 2 lakh 56 thousand 433 per load. The price of 18 carat gold is 2 lakh 19 thousand 808 taka. And 1 lakh 79 thousand 859 taka per traditional gold.
On the other hand, the price of silver stood at 6 thousand 998 taka per load of 22 carats. 6 thousand 707 taka per load of 21 carat silver. The price of 18 carat silver is 5 thousand 715 taka. And 4 thousand 316 taka per traditional silver.
Bajus said these prices will remain in effect until further notice.
