Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, during the scholarship distribution program organized at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in the capital Lucknow on Sunday, made a strong attack on the opposition and said that Babua, who used to wake up till 12 o’clock, was concerned about the education of the children of the poor. Due to nepotism, corruption and negligence in previous governments, schemes like scholarships could not reach the poor. On this occasion, the Chief Minister transferred scholarship and fee reimbursement worth ₹ 944.55 crore to the bank accounts of 18,78,726 students of the state for the financial year 2025-26 under the fair and transparent DBT process. He also wished the people of the state on the 77th Republic Day.
The game of corruption ended with DBT
In his address, the Chief Minister said that the previous governments never paid attention to the education of the children of the poor. How can a father who wakes up till 12 o’clock worry about the children of the poor? To someone who wakes up after the sun has risen, even talking about sunrise will seem meaningless. Such people can neither care about the state nor about the poor. The Chief Minister said that when the intentions of the government are clear and the policy is clear, then it is possible to control the demon of corruption. Earlier scholarship schemes used to fall victim to corruption at many levels. Sometimes the intentions of the government were bad, sometimes nepotism came in the way, sometimes due to departmental corruption the money did not reach the poor students. Today, through DBT, money has reached the accounts of about 19 lakh students of all categories in one click, without any discrimination.
