Distribution of winter clothes under the initiative of Shippers Council of Bangladesh


Shippers Council of Bangladesh (SCB) has implemented nationwide winter clothing distribution program to protect the poor and low income people from the onset of winter season.

About 9,000 blankets were distributed in different areas of the country through SCB Board of Directors members and officials. Through this initiative, winter clothes are delivered to orphanages, madrassas, visually impaired institutions and low-income people.

Notable areas in Dhaka include Badda, Jigatla, Uttarkhan, Baunia, Tongi, Ashulia, Hemayetpur, Jurain Cemetery premises and Madinatul Uloom Orphanage Madrasah for the Visually Impaired in Demra.

Apart from this, Jagatpur Ashram and Jhautla Kadam Mubarak Orphanage in Chittagong, Madanpur in Narayanganj, Bakerganj, Gournadi and Nalchiti in Barisal, Dumuria and Shiromani in Khulna, Chapainawabganj in Rajshahi, Shibpur and Mohipal in Fenir, Natipota Sat Shahidiya Qoumi Madrasa in Chuadanga, Noakhali This program was conducted in various areas including Hatia Upazila, Karimganj of Kishoreganj, Katiyadi and Pakundia, Muradnagar of Comilla, Gopinathpur of Gopalganj, Madanpur Orphanage of Sreepur of Magura, Gazipur, Natore.
