‘The winter of Poush is like a buffalo, the tiger flees in the winter of Magh’ – even the tiger overcomes the severe winter of the month of Magh. The wind of change in nature at the beginning of Magha. After the cold and thick fog in the bone-chilling Konkan, winter has begun to depart?
A few days ago, however, people were shaken by severe winter. The whole country has been covered by the cold wind and thick fog of Poush month, the sun has not been seen even during the week.
January is usually the coldest month in Bangladesh. Then in the middle of February, the temperature started to change a little and slowly the spring came after the winter.
This year, in the beginning of January, the force of winter was felt a little, but there was a big change in the temperature in a few days.
According to the Met office, mild cold current is still going on in some districts of the country but the temperature has increased in most of the districts. Especially the difference between night and day temperature is quite big.
The Meteorological Department recorded the lowest temperature in the country at 8.5 degrees Celsius in the northern town of Tentulia and the highest temperature in Teknaf at 29.3 degrees Celsius on Friday.
The weather forecast has also informed that mild cold current has flowed in Dinajpur, Panchagarh and Rangpur districts, but the day temperature has increased a lot in the rest of the districts.

What can increase the winter?
The impact of winter in late December and early January seemed to be a bit more severe this year than in other years and could be lasting. At least three more cold fronts are likely to come, the Meteorological Department said.
However, the situation changed in the second week of January. After evening and last night it felt a bit chilly but the conditions during the day were quite different.
Meteorologist Kazi Jebunnesa says the cold front is still moving, but its area has reduced. “A few days ago cold currents swept over 50 to 54 districts of the country simultaneously but today (Friday) there will be mild cold currents in three districts and tomorrow in four districts of the country,” he said.
Miz Zebunnesa also said that mainly due to the heat of the sun, there is a big difference between the temperature of the day and the temperature of the night.
He told BBC Bangla that the daytime temperature may rise a little more in the next few days. As a result, the intensity of winter will decrease. However, some districts in the north and north-west regions of the country will have winter effects.
“The winter in Dhaka may have abated a bit, it may remain like this for two more days in Dhaka, the daytime temperature may increase a little more. It will remain like this for a week,” he said.
“No, it’s not likely to happen again,” said the meteorologist when asked if the cold weather in Konkan could happen again a few days ago.

Miz Zebunnesa cites the large difference in day and night temperatures as the reason for such a sudden change in weather.
He said, “A few days ago there was very little difference between day and night temperature, our record can say, it was 1.7 degrees. But now it has increased a lot.”
He also said that by the end of this month, the temperature will increase a little more and the feeling of winter may decrease. “Winter won’t increase steadily.”
This year the minimum temperature in the country fell below seven degrees. Capital Dhaka also recorded minimum temperature around eleven degrees Celsius.
According to the latest message of the Meteorological Office, there may be light to moderate fog in some parts of the country from late night to morning.
In the next three days, the night temperature will remain almost unchanged across the country, but the day temperature may increase slightly. That is, the effect of winter will be reduced during the day. Although the sky is temporarily cloudy, there is no chance of rain.
Meteorologist Miz Zebunnesa says temperatures will fluctuate slightly, but there is little chance of a major change in the feel of winter. “Winter can’t be said to be gone, but it’s likely to go away this year,” he said.
However, as the speed of northerly cold winds has decreased a little, relief has returned to public life.
Especially in the northern districts of the country, where the severity of winter was the most, most of the districts are seeing sunshine.
