Some people are saying that Deepika’s demand of 8 hour shift is right while some are calling it a wrong demand. Actress Keerthy Suresh has justified Deepika Padukone’s demand for 8-hour shift. Keerthi Suresh talked about work shifts during the promotion of his film Revolver Rita in Hyderabad.
Talking to the media, Kirti told that she has worked in many shifts in her career. Many times I have worked from 9 am to 2 pm. During the shooting of Mahanati, she was working in five more films. He told that due to health reasons 8 hours shift is ideal.
How is an actor’s day?
While explaining the life of an actor, Kirti said- 9 For the 7:00 pm shift, if I want to be there by 7:30 am, I have to leave home at 6:30 am and be up by 5:30 am. And when you pack up by 6-6:30 pm, you go back and change your clothes by 7 pm. By the time you get back home. By then it was 8:15 pm. We change our clothes and go to workout by 8:30 pm, and by the time you finish work, it is already 10 pm. You take a bath, have dinner, and by then it’s 11 o’clock at night. Now I have to wake up at 5:30 in the morning after sleeping at 11:30 pm.
Why is 8 hour shift ok?
Kirti said- ,We say 8 hours of sleep is good but we hardly sleep for 6 hours and that is in an ideal 9-6 shift. Imagine if we are working long hours, the technicians reach the set before us and do the packing after us., Kirti explained, ‘In Tamil and Telugu, we usually have a standard of 9-6 but in Malayalam and Hindi they work for 12 hours. In Malayalam they work in a continuous schedule without any break, and it is difficult. They sleep for 3-4 hours, and lightmen in Kerala sleep for 2-3 hours. However, sleep is as important as food or exercise.
