Minister Abdel Aty stressed the interest that Egypt attaches to the electrical interconnection project between the two countries in light of the distinguished bilateral relations between Egypt and Greece.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed that the partnership between the two countries includes important pivotal sectors, including the energy sector, specifically the field of electrical interconnection, which contributes to achieving energy security for Europe and achieves the common economic interests of both sides, especially since Egypt continues to implement large projects to generate new energy from solar and wind energy. As confirmed by Dr. Abdel Aty emphasized the importance of quickly starting the implementation of the electrical interconnection project between the two countries, in a way that reflects the strength of the partnership between Egypt and Greece and achieving common benefits.
