Kuwait's VC, Pro-VC issued notification


Khulna Science and Engineering University (Kuwait) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Muhammad Machud and Vice-Vice-Chancellor (Pro-VC) Professor SK Shariful Alam have issued a notification from the Ministry of Education. Two notifications were issued from the Ministry of Education on Friday night.

The students have been protesting for several days to demand the resignation of Vice -Chancellor of Kuwait Prof Muhammad Machh.

The clash between supporters of the student body and anti -discrimination student movement on February 7, focusing on the demand for the student politics. More than half of the students were injured in the attack. The next day, the students locked in all the academic buildings including administrative buildings.

At the university's syndicate meeting that afternoon, it was decided to stop all political activities in Kuwait. The committee was formed to investigate the incident. The administration filed an unidentified identity at Khanjahan Ali police station at night.

Students showed red cards to all political organizations on February 23 at the campus. At the same time, they demanded the resignation of the Vice -Chancellor.

After that, on April 27, the vice -chancellor's resignation was given 24 hours of ultimatum. The students sat on the hunger strike as the resignation was not announced within the tied period.

In this situation, CR Abrar, Advisor to the Ministry of Education, visited Kuwait campus on Wednesday. However, he could not break the hunger strike even after a long time. The students told the adviser how the movement became a one -point demand for the Vice -Chancellor's resignation from six points. During this time, the protesting students started giving slogans against the Vice -Chancellor.

Then, at the university's syndicate meeting on Wednesday afternoon, it was decided to withdraw the expulsion of three Kuwait students as well as opened all halls. In addition, the meeting came to the meeting that the academic activities of the university would begin on May 7 as per the previous decision.

On the third day of the Amaran Hunger program, many students became physically weak last Wednesday. However, they are still in the decision to continue the hunger strike until the removal of the Vice -Chancellor.

In this situation, three members of the committee formed by the University Grants Commission (UGC) went to Kuwait campus. On Wednesday night, they broke the students' hunger strike with the removal of the Vice -Chancellor and Vice -Chancellor.
