The UN Secretary General rejected the Israeli plan to control Gaza relief

UN Secretary -General Antonio Guterres has rejected Israel's new proposal to control humanitarian assistance in Gaza. On Tuesday, he told reporters that if the plan was implemented, relief would be limited by calculating each calorie and flour, which is unacceptable.

Guterres said, “We will not participate in any system of not accepting human policy – humanity, neutrality, freedom and neutrality.”

From March 2, no humanitarian assistance was reached in this Palestinian region of 2 million residents. Israel has said that all kinds of products will not be allowed in Gaza unless Hamas hostages are released.

The Israeli military agency, Kogat last week, met with the United Nations and international relief agencies and proposed a structured observation and support entrance for Gaza. Kogat claimed in a statement that the system would prevent relief to reach Hamas.

However, Jonathan Whitel, a senior UN officer in charge of Gaza and the West Bank, said there was no evidence of deviation in providing relief.

After a two -month ceasefire, Israel resumed bombing in Gaza last month and deployed the troops. Guterres called Gaza a 'murder' and said that the people of Gaza are bound to an endless death cycle.

He called for the unconditional release of all the hostages, permanent ceasefire and full humanitarian assistance in Gaza. Guterres said Israel has the responsibility of international law as occupied territory – which includes ensuring food, medical and public health. Nothing is happening at present.

Israel claims they do not have effective control in Gaza, so the rules of the occupied region do not apply.

The war began after the Hamas attack on October 7, 2012, after the Israeli killed 9,220 people and 20 people were held hostage. According to the Gaza health authorities, more than 3,000 Palestinians were killed in Israeli aggression in Gaza in response to Hamas attacks.
