Bihar News: In Arrah, Bihar, on Sunday morning, armed assailants riding a bike carried out indiscriminate firing near the puja pandal. During the firing, four people including a member of the puja committee were shot. The incident took place in Maulabagh of Nawada police station of the district. Sensation spread in the surrounding area regarding the incident. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police of Nawada police station reached the spot and started investigation. Police have recovered two shell casings from the spot.
The police identified the accused and started conducting raids to arrest them. After the firing, all the armed miscreants riding bikes fled from the spot waving weapons. At the same time, all the injured were brought to the private hospital located at Babu Bazaar in Arrah city where they are being treated.
The reason for the incident is not clear
Injured Sunil Kumar Yadav told that they were sitting on chairs in the pandal early on Sunday morning. During this time, some armed miscreants riding on two bikes came to the pandal and started firing indiscriminately in which all the people got shot. After this they fled from there. However, why did the armed miscreants fire indiscriminately? The reason for this is not yet clear. However, the police is investigating the matter at its level.
SP's statement came in the matter
Regarding the matter, SP Raj said that after interrogating the eyewitnesses, it appears that this incident happened due to a mutual dispute. Of the three injured persons, two belong to the pandal committee and the third person from whose leg the bullet touched him was roaming nearby. The accused involved in the incident have been identified. Raids are being conducted to make arrests.
At the same time, surgeon doctor Vikash Singh, who was treating the injured, said that four people had come here in a bullet injured condition on Sunday morning. Bullets have been removed from the stomach of two people. The third was shot in the leg and the fourth in the thigh. His bullet has also been removed. Everyone's condition is stable.
