Social media Facebook is making big changes in live video features. This change will affect millions of users. Because, live videos will be reserved for only 5 days from now. Then it will be erased automatically. Facebook has reported this information in a blog post.
In a statement published in the newsroom on Facebook, Meta said that the live videos that users will create will be on their profile or page till 7 days of posting. Live videos can be shared as clips or reels during this period. Users can delete or download the video if desired.
The change has come up since February 7. If this change is implemented in the users' account, they will receive an e-mail notification. As a result, live videos more than 5 days will no longer be seen and they will be erased.
You can download live videos within 5 days after receiving the notification or transfer to cloud storage. If you need more time, you can ask for 6 months for delete.
In addition, if an account becomes 'memorable', no media will be erased there. Friends of the deceased or family members will not see any changes in the contents previously shared.
Facebook has also recommended several ways to save their live videos, such as –
- Creating a file of all live videos, downloading them and storing in the device or cloud storage.
- Download one or more live videos from the Activity Log of the page or profile.
- Download a live video from Meta Business Suite.

Download Live Video from Profile or Page
1. Go to your profile using a computer browser. Go Then go to the page from which you want to download the video.
2. Find the Video Tab on the profile. Find the Live Tab on the page. You may have to click on the 'More' option to see the live tab.
3. Select the video you want to download.
3. Tap the Full Screen View option. Then click on 'Options' and select 'Download Video'. Your video will start downloading automatically. If the download does not start, the page should be refreshed and try again.
Download Live Video from Meta Business Suite
If your page or profile is under the meta business sweet, you can download live videos in this process. For this, follow the steps below –
1. Turn on Facebook.
2. Tap the profile picture on the right side.
3. Tap from the menu to the Professional Board.
3. Then tap the 'Meta Business Suite' option in the tool section.
3. Now select the 'content' tab.
3. You will find the live video you want to download below the posts and reels. Tap the video over.
3. Now tap three dot icons or options.
3. Select 'Download SD' or 'Download HD' options to download the video.
The video will start downloading automatically. If the download does not start, the page should be refreshed and try again.
Download Live Video from Activity Log
1. Turn on Facebook.
2. Tap the profile picture on the right side.
3. Tap the Settings option.
3. Scroll to the bottom and select the Activity Log option.
3. Select Live Videos Options.
3. Find out the video you want to download.
3. Click on the options next to the video and select the download.
This way the live video can be downloaded.
