Grameenphone has expanded their partnership with global technology company Ericsson to advance innovation through artificial intelligence (AI) based solution. Providing world -class services by enhancing efficiency is the goal of this strategic partnership, which will help customers to provide services according to constant changing needs.
Grameenphone Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Yasir Azman and Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Malaysia Head of Erickson David Hagerbro signed the agreement on Wednesday, January 22 at a hotel in the capital. Ambassador to Bangladesh Hakan Ald Gulbrandsen, Sweden Ambassador Nicholas Wicks and Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Chairman (BTRC) Major General Mohammad Emdad ul Bari (retd) were present at the signing ceremony. Besides, Erickson Limited Senior Vice President (SVP) and Head of MA South East Asia Oceania and India of Ericsson Limited Andreas Vicent, Grameenphone Chief Information Officer (CIO). Senior officials of Grameenphone and Ericsson were present along with Niranjan Srinivasan, Chief Procurement Officer Kostav Bhat.
This partnership is one of the largest initiatives in implementing catalog -based charging and middle -based system worldwide. The system is based on Erikson's successful middle, which is capable of processing more than 100 billion data daily in Grameenphone. With this system, Grameenphone will be able to increase its business and operation support system (OSS/BSS) capabilities. Under the agreement, new solutions like Ericsson Order Care and Catalog Manager will be added; Which will help modernize the quality of the organization and implement the Fiveji. Erickson will provide IT management services to continue the activities of Grameenphone. Besides, AI -based activities will further enhance Grameenphone skills.
