Arab Finance: ExxonMobil Egypt “Upstream” Ltd. has completed drilling the Nefertari 1 well in the North Marakia concession area using the Valaris DS-9 drillship.
Gas reserves were discovered in the well, and ExxonMobil is currently evaluating the results. It should be noted that Qatar Energy Company is a partner in the North Marakia concession, in which ExxonMobil is managing operations.
It is worth noting that the international company ExxonMobil operates in the North Marakia concession area as a major operator with a 60% share, alongside its partner Qatar Energy Company with 40%.
