The first shipment of 25,000 tons of rice imported from India will arrive in Bangladesh tomorrow Thursday (December 26). The Indian ship will arrive at Chittagong port this morning.
This information was informed in a press release sent by the Ministry of Food on Wednesday (December 25).
In a press release, the Ministry of Food said that 24 thousand 690 tons of boiled rice has been purchased from India under the contract of open tender. This is the first shipment of rice under the import contract under the current interim government.
The Ministry of Food also informed that the ship named MV Tanaiz Dream will arrive at Chittagong port on Thursday morning with rice imported from India. After collecting rice samples and physical examination, quick release will begin.
