Merry Christmas Wednesday


The biggest religious festival of Christians is 'Merry Christmas' today, Wednesday (December 25). Jesus Christ, the founder of this religion, was born on this day in Bethlehem. Christians celebrate this day as 'Merry Christmas'. People of the Christian community believe that Lord Jesus came to earth to lead mankind to the path of truth and justice by preaching the glory of God.

Like other countries of the world, the Christians of Bangladesh will also celebrate 'Merry Christmas' with proper religious solemnity and rituals, rejoicing and prayers. On this occasion, the religious institutions of Christians all over the country, including the capital Dhaka, have been decorated in a new style. Besides, arrangements have been made for lighting decorations in various churches and star hotels from Tuesday (December 24) evening. Besides, the big day ceremony started with prayers from 7:30 pm on Tuesday.

Prayers will be held in all the churches of the country on the occasion of Christmas. Prayers will be held on Tuesday from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM and the next day on Wednesday from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM.

Father Jayant S. Gomez, pastor of Tejgaon Dharmapalli, said, 'Christmas is not a measure of time, but Christmas is really Christmas in terms of importance and significance. Christmas is an undying love story of greatness, humanity, holiness, love of unity, mutual union and brotherhood. Around this one festival, the whole world rejoices, prays, worships, worships, exchange of greetings, great preparations to receive the Lord Jesus and various festivals.

He said, Christians of Bangladesh are not out of it. The Christians of Bangladesh also take extensive material and spiritual preparation according to their own culture, religion and tradition. Christmas is a day of union. A day of reconciliation of man with God and man-to-man, brotherhood and peace. But sadly, the Middle East, the birthplace of Jesus, is in constant war. Thousands of lives are being lost. The war between Ukraine and Russia has plunged the whole world including Europe into turmoil and tension. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the Prince of Peace, calling for peace in a troubled and unstable world. The true greatness of Christmas is to promote harmony, brotherhood, unity and peace among mankind.

On the occasion of Christmas, President Md. Sahabuddin and chief advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus gave a separate message wishing peace and welfare to all including Christians.

In the speech. Sahabuddin said, 'He (Jesus Christ) had to endure many tortures while calling the misguided people to the path of truth and justice. Yet he preached the teachings of peaceful dispositions including love, service, forgiveness, compassion, empathy and justice among people. I believe that the teachings and ideals of Jesus Christ can make a positive contribution to the establishment of peace in the current war-torn world, including the establishment of harmony and unity among different ethnic groups.'

Therefore, regardless of caste and religion, everyone should work for the welfare of the country and the people. Bangladesh is a country of communal harmony. Since time immemorial, people of all religions have been practicing their religions and rituals independently in this country. Bonds of communal harmony must be strengthened to establish a state free from discrimination and corruption and based on justice. I call upon everyone irrespective of caste, creed and caste to join the march of building a modern, developed Bangladesh.'

Chief advisor. Muhammad Yunus said in his speech, 'One of the vows of Jesus Christ was to establish a society free from exploitation by establishing justice and peace in the world. Mahamati Jesus sacrificed himself for the endangered and starving people. He is immortalized in human history for his way of life and strong character traits.'

He also said, 'Bangladesh is a country of communal harmony. People of all religions have been living together in this country for thousands of years. Here people of all religions and communities have full freedom to practice their own religion. I hope Christmas will strengthen the existing harmony and harmony between Christians and other communities in the country.'

Along with lighting decorations in the star hotels of the capital, Christmas trees and Santa Clauses have been artificially installed in the interior of the hotel. There are various events to celebrate Christmas.

Eid is known as an auspicious day for all Christians. The Holy Bible does not clearly mention when Jesus Christ was born. The founder of Christianity was born miraculously. And to remember him, bells are rung to call for prayer in the church. Followers of Jesus Christ believe that this bell conveys a message of good news.
