Bangladesh's Chief Advisor (CA) Press Wing Facts has termed the Indian weekly India Today's claim of deployment of drones by Bangladesh on the Indian border as 'fake news'.
This was stated in a post on the verified Facebook page of Press Wing Facts on Saturday (December 7). It said, this is false and fabricated news.
It is further mentioned that, in this context, a spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense said that drones have not been deployed in any border region of the country except for regular operations.
According to Press Wing Facts, this news is part of the ongoing false campaign against Bangladesh.
A screenshot of India Today's report, titled 'Bangladesh deploys Byraktor TB-2 drones and is India ready?', was also posted earlier.
According to the report, Bangladesh has deployed Bayraktar TB-2 drone on the Indian border. It is an unmanned medium altitude aircraft used for intelligence surveillance.
Based on the Indian report, the same news has been published in different media of the country.
