Claiming the interim government as 'unconstitutional and undemocratic', Awami League joint secretary AFM Bahauddin Nashim said, 'The illegal occupants have held the people of the country hostage. This Bangladesh is not the Bangladesh of liberation war aspirations.
He said these things in a statement uploaded on the verified Facebook page of Awami League on Friday (December 6).
Bahauddin Naseem said, 'An usurping group led by the unconstitutional and undemocratic fascist Yunus destroyed state institutions and formed the government illegally by plotting on hundreds of corpses. Students and common people including members of the police force have been killed through meticulous design.'
In the statement he said, 'The Bengali nation achieved political independence under the leadership of Bangabandhu. And under the leadership of his daughter, we were on the way to achieve economic freedom. But the anti-national groups never wanted Bangladesh to become a prosperous state, Bengali nation to be recognized as a self-respecting nation in the international arena. Anti-independence and anti-national forces have repeatedly disrupted the normal progress of Bangladesh. When Bangladesh was on the verge of achieving the dream of independence, this evil power changed the government led by Sheikh Hasina through domestic and foreign conspiracies.
Criticizing the current government, he said, 'The government has assumed a monstrous image to suppress the voice of the people. They have no responsibility towards the people of the country. They are constantly doing anti-people activities against the welfare of the people. As a result of rising commodity prices, people's lives have become miserable. People are being robbed of their right to live through mob terror.'
This leader of Awami League claimed, 'Indescribable torture is being carried out on Hindus, Buddhists, Christians and other religions, people are being killed indiscriminately. Which includes genocide. However, politically motivated false cases are being filed in the name of Sheikh Hasina and Awami League leaders and other leaders including 14 parties. Mass arrests are being made indiscriminately. Women are being harassed everywhere in public places.'
He said, I strongly condemn and protest against such vile actions of the illegal occupying fascist Yunus government. This Bangladesh is not the Bangladesh of our liberation war aspirations. I am calling on all patriotic people who are convinced of the spirit of the liberation war to continue the fight against this evil force to build our desired motherland.
