Hasnat Abdullah, convener of the anti-discrimination student movement, has warned that India will never be able to maintain dominance in Bangladesh. He said, India will not be able to dominate us as long as Abu Saeed, Wasim, Mochad and Sajid remain in our minds. From now on we will talk eye to eye with India, relations will be based on fairness.
He said these things at a discussion meeting titled 'Post Revolution Student Unity' organized by the Jagannath University Journalists Association on Wednesday (December 4) afternoon.
Hasnat Abdullah said, no more conspiracies of fascists can be allowed to succeed. If we fail this time, then Bangladesh will never be able to turn around again. We have continued the struggle since July till today.
He said, there will be ideological differences among various active student organizations, this is the beauty of democracy. But there will be no compromise on the integrity of this country, foreign aggression, sovereignty. Forcing everyone to agree—that is, Sheikh Hasina and the Awami culture.
This coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement also said, “You who are the policy makers of India, could not subjugate Maldives, could not control Sri Lanka.” Forced to submit to Nepal, your conflicts with Bhutan and Myanmar. India does not have cordial relations with any neighboring country.
He said that our relationship with India has not deteriorated due to any religious reason. So if it were then 81 percent Hindus in Nepal. Even though Hindus are the majority, why India does not have a good relationship with them?
He further said, as long as there is unity among us, no one can create division among us. We have many roads to cross before us. That path is much more thorny. So we have to be united.
Under the chairmanship of Mahamudul Hasan Tanvir, the leader of the alliance, and moderated by Subarna As Saif, Rakibul Islam Rakib, President of Bangladesh Nationalist Students Party, Manjurul Islam, President of Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir, Bin Yamin Mollah of Student Rights Council, Rafikuzzaman Farid, General Secretary of Samajtantrik Chhatra Front, President of Islami Chhatra Andolan were present as guests.
