Taiwan President Lai Ching-tey is on a week-long visit to the Pacific Islands. He started it from Hawaii state of America, where he was welcomed by laying red carpet. With this, America approved the proposal to sell more arms to Taiwan. This decision of America has displeased China.
The US State Department has approved the sale of approximately $385 million of spare parts and support for F-16 jets and radars to Taiwan.
According to Al Jazeera, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that it will closely monitor this entire incident and will take concrete steps to protect its country's sovereignty and territorial integrity. On the issue of arms sales, China said – This decision of America will give a wrong message to the Taiwan Independent Force. We will take retaliatory action on this.

Lai Ching-te visits the USA Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor. Here he said that America and Taiwan should fight together to stop the war. Peace is priceless and there is no winner in war.
After Hawaii, Lai Ching-Te will visit the Marshall Islands, Tuvalu and Palau. Only these nations in the Pacific region recognize Taiwan as an independent country.

Fear of China's occupation of Taiwan When China came under the control of the Communist Party in the 1940s, the remaining nationalists left the country and settled on the island of Taiwan. These nationalists imposed democratic rule in Taiwan. China considers Taiwan as its own part. Whereas Taiwan considers itself an independent country. China therefore wants to capture Taiwan.
By capturing Taiwan, China will be free to show its dominance in the Western Pacific Ocean region. This will pose a threat to American military bases like Guam and Hawaii. Additionally, Taiwan is the largest manufacturer of cutting-edge semiconductors.
