Hospitals in West Bengal have stopped admitting Bangladeshi patients

A hospital in Kolkata, the capital of the Indian state of West Bengal, has stopped admitting Bangladeshi patients. This decision has been taken in protest against the desecration of the Indian national flag in Bangladesh. JN Roy Hospital said, there is nothing above the country. Therefore, they will temporarily stop the admission of Bangladeshi patients in defiance of the national flag. This information is known from the report of Indian media Hindustan Times.

Earlier, renowned gynecologist Indranil Saha stopped seeing Bangladeshi patients to protest the desecration of the Indian national flag in Bangladesh. Following his lead, Kolkata's JN Roy Hospital in Manikatala stopped admitting Bangladeshi patients. They clearly stated that there is nothing above the country. Therefore, all treatment of Bangladeshi patients will be stopped at JN Roy Hospital for the time being.

Hospital director Subhranshu Bhakta told the media on Friday evening that they have decided to stop providing all services to the patients of the country in protest of the manner in which the national flag of India has been insulted in Bangladesh. He said, 'Country above all. Nothing can happen above the country. Medicine is a great profession. But the dignity of the country is above all. The way the national flag of India has been desecrated in various places in Bangladesh, other medical institutions should also follow this path.

Earlier, last Thursday night, doctor Indranil Saha posted a photo of the desecration of the Indian national flag in Bangladesh on social media and wrote, 'Holding the Indian national flag at the entrance of Buet! I am stopping seeing Bangladeshi patients in the chamber for the time being. Country first, income later. I hope other doctors will do the same until the relationship is normalized.'

Apart from this, BJP leader of the state and leader of opposition in the assembly Subvendu Adhikari made the same claim while facing the reporters outside the West Bengal Legislative Assembly on Friday afternoon. He said, 'I bow down to Dr. Indranil Saha. He said, my country first, income after. Indian flag trampled. I will not treat patients from Bangladesh.'

At that time, Shuvendu appealed to the rightful Indians and said, 'I request the entire Indian medical community, businessmen and lovers of India to boycott Bangladeshis completely. If the Maulana of Bangladesh can say, don't cut your hair and beard at Hindu barbers, don't buy sweets from Hindu shops, I also want to tell India lovers from here, it's time to give a stern answer.'

Shuvendu Adhikari said, 'Not only in words, but also in action, give such an answer so that the price of onion in Bangladesh today's market is Tk 150, potato is Tk 120 and the price of petrol is Tk 1000 per liter like in Pakistan and flour is Tk 400 per kg.'
