Police opened fire indiscriminately as local worshipers staged a protest against the occupation of a traditional mosque in Samval, Uttar Pradesh, India. Amir Muhibbullah Babunagari and General Secretary Sajedur Rahman of Hefazete Islam Bangladesh issued a statement strongly protesting the killing of three worshipers.
In a statement on Thursday (November 28), they said, 'In order to build good relations with the people of a non-sectarian state like Bangladesh as a neighbour, the ruling group of India must avoid such Israeli behavior.'
We are ashamed to think of those whose blood is on their hands as neighbors. In order to build good relations with Bangladesh, India must stop the repression and killings of the Muslim minority in its country.'
