6 narco subs with 1400 tons of drugs arrested, new smuggling route identified in Australia

A total of 1,400 tons of drugs, including more than 1,000 tons of marijuana, have been seized in an operation to prevent drug trafficking led by 62 countries led by Colombia. There is also 225 metric tons of cocaine. Six narco subs, or sub-mersible vessels used in drug trafficking, were seized in the six-week operation.

On Wednesday, Vice Admiral Orlando Enrique Grisales, the head of the Colombian Navy, said that the operation was carried out between October 1 and November 14 against drug trafficking under the leadership of Colombia. More than 400 people were arrested in the 45-day operation on charges of illegal arms shipments and migrant smuggling.

A submersible vessel with 5 tons of cocaine was intercepted on its way from Colombia to Australia by sea. Found near a small atoll in the Pacific Ocean, 1,250 miles southwest of Clipperton Island. Five people were arrested.

“This is the first narco sub intercepted on this route,” said the head of the Colombian Navy. Check the map and identify the drug trafficking route and start working with Australia. Other narco subs were later seized.

The maritime raiding coalition sees the seizure of 225 tonnes of cocaine as a huge success. According to a report by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime this year, 2,700 tons of cocaine are produced worldwide every year.

However, this is not the first time in the world that narco subs have been obtained. Colombian drug traffickers began using submarines in the late 1990s to evade US law enforcement agencies in the Caribbean. Narco used to smuggle illegal goods into the United States through subs.

Meanwhile, when CNN contacted the Australian police, they refused to comment on the matter. Australian police have warned international drug traffickers have recently turned their attention to the country, which has one of the highest-priced drug markets in the world as well as increased cocaine use.

A kilogram of cocaine sells for up to $240,000 in Australia, which is three to six times higher than the average price of cocaine in the United States.
