Teletalk Online SIM service has been launched on an experimental basis. Initially, this service has been started as a commercial piloting from November 27 afternoon in 11 post offices of Rajshahi, Naogaon, Chapainawabganj districts of Rajshahi division. Later, the service will be available through post offices of all districts of Bangladesh.
The Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology informed this information on Thursday (November 28).
According to the Ministry's press release, on Wednesday (November 27) Teletalk online SIM service was launched on an experimental basis at the advisor's office on Hare Road in the capital. According to the press release, Bangladesh's only state-owned mobile operator, Teletalk Bangladesh Limited, has integrated Bangladesh Postal Department's post offices and their delivery services to deliver Teletalk SIMs to customers' doorsteps. As a result, the customer can choose and order his SIM number online and collect it from his convenient post office or at home.
From now on, the customer will have to pay Tk 250 from the specified post office to collect his preferred Teletalk SIM and Tk 300 to collect it at home through mobile wallet. Customer can know SIM delivery address through automated tracking number. You can order online by going to the Teletalk website teletalk.com.bd under the 'Online SIM' menu.
In the event, the secretary of the Department of Posts and Telecommunications. Md. Mushfiqur Rahman was present as special guest. Also Teletalk Bangladesh Limited Managing Director Nurul Mabud Chowdhury, Bangladesh Postal Department Director General SM Shahab Uddin and senior officials of Teletalk and Postal Department were present.
