UP By Election: In Moradabad, a BJP worker has filed a case in the police station citing threat to his life from SP workers. The BJP worker alleges that Samajwadi Party workers have threatened him that if he votes for BJP in the Kundarki assembly by-election, he will be shot dead. On the complaint of BJP worker, the police have registered a case in Kundarki police station and started investigation.
The matter pertains to a village in Kundarki assembly constituency where by-elections are to be held in the coming days. The BJP worker has complained to the police that two SP workers from the same village told him that if he votes for BJP, they will shoot so many bullets that they will spoil his appearance. After receiving the complaint, the police have registered a case against the accused. The police is investigating the matter.
Threat of consequences if you vote for BJP
Abbas, a resident of Nanpur village of Kundarki, is a BJP worker. In the complaint lodged with the police, Abbas has said that he is a BJP worker and is campaigning for BJP leader Ramveer Singh in Kundarki. Due to this, the village's SP worker Matru and his son Munajir are angry with him.
According to Abbas, on September 6, he was sitting at the door of his house. Then Matru and his son Munajir came to him with a country-made pistol and a licensed rifle and threatened him that if he voted for BJP, they would shoot so many bullets that they would disfigure him. Both of them threatened to face consequences if they voted for BJP.
Abbas, a resident of Nanpur in Kundarki area, who works as a carpenter, says that the people nearby somehow saved him, after which the accused left, threatening him to leave the BJP. After this the victim reached the police station and lodged a complaint about the matter.
In this case, SP Rural Kunwar Akash Singh says that the victim is a BJP worker and some people living in his village are harassing him on this matter. Based on the complaint, a case has been registered against two people. The police is investigating the matter.
