Tesla owner Elon Musk has praised India's electoral system. Musk has said that India declared the election verdict by counting 64 crore votes in a single day. At the same time, counting is still going on in California, America for the elections held on November 5. In India, counting of assembly by-elections took place in 13 states including Maharashtra and Jharkhand assemblies on 23 November.

Musk shared another post in which the user had written that India counted 640 million votes in one day and California has been counting 15 million votes for 18 days. Musk called it sad.

In America, most voting is done through paper ballot or email ballot. In the 2024 presidential elections, machines were used for voting in only 5% of the precincts. In such a situation, counting takes a lot of time.
California is the largest state of America. 3.9 crore people live here. 1.6 crore people had voted in the presidential elections held on November 5. Even after two weeks of voting, about 3 lakh votes are still to be counted. Every year in America it takes weeks to count the votes.
Trump included Musk in the government
After winning the US presidential election, Donald Trump has included Elon Musk in his team. He has handed over the responsibility of the Department of Government Efficiency (DoGE) to Musk and Ramaswamy. DoGE is a new department, which will provide external advice to the government.

Musk said – the government will save 2 trillion dollars from the new department
After getting the responsibility of the new department, Musk had said that through the new department he would be able to cut government expenditure by at least 2 trillion dollars (168 lakh crores). However, some experts are calling it impossible. According to the Washington Post, Musk will be able to do this only if he cuts important programs like the defense budget or social security.
Trump proposed the formation of the DoGE in early September. Earlier in August, he had said that if he becomes President, he will consider giving Musk a cabinet post or an advisory role in his administration. After this Musk said that he is ready to handle this responsibility.
Musk has described this project on social media as 'America's last chance'. He claimed that without it the country would go bankrupt. He claimed that New York Metropolitan spent Rs 6.5 crore for fire alarm.
Musk also alleged that the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases spent more than Rs 4 crore 'to research HIV in transgender monkeys'. This is wasteful expenditure.
Musk said that the functioning of DoGE will be posted online to bring transparency in the system. Information about which foolish schemes the public's tax money is being spent on will be given separately.
