The election results of Maharashtra and Jharkhand have shown two different colors of politics. In Maharashtra, BJP and its Mahayuti alliance have registered a historic victory, while in Jharkhand, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has performed brilliantly on its ground and secured the key to power. If we look at the election data of these two states, the picture becomes clear that the parties have not only registered victory but have also performed tremendously in terms of strike rate. But if seen from the strike rate point of view, these election results match the strike rate of the great cricketers. The strike rate of BJP is similar to the strike rate of Sachin Tendulkar and JMM.
Strike rate of BJP in Maharashtra and JMM in Jharkhand
BJP has proved its dominance in Maharashtra, where it has won with almost 89% strike rate in the electoral politics of the state. If we talk about cricket, Sachin Tendulkar's strike rate in the World Cup was also 89 percent. Sachin had scored 2,278 runs in 45 matches in the six World Cups played between 1992 and 2011. During this period he had scored 6 centuries and 15 half-centuries.
This figure not only strengthens the political stature of BJP, but also shows that the party's way of entering the electoral fray is stronger than before. In Maharashtra, BJP and Mahayuti alliance maintained lead on almost every front. BJP has defeated its opponents by achieving an unprecedented strike rate of 89%. This demonstration shows that voters have once again Narendra Modi And expressed confidence in the policies of Devendra Fadnavis.
Whereas in Jharkhand, JMM under the leadership of Hemant Soren contested 43 seats and won 33 seats. With 79% strike rate, JMM showed that its base is strong in rural areas and tribal community. The strike rate of Ricky Ponting (Australia) in cricket was 79.95. That means JMM has emerged in this election with the strike rate of Ricky Ponting.
This victory is the result of the precise strategy of the alliance and the popularity of Hemant Soren. While BJP has clearly strengthened its hold in Maharashtra, JMM has shown the power of regional politics in Jharkhand. It is clear from these results that voters of both the states remained vocal about their respective issues.
