Meeting of three army chiefs with the President

On the occasion of Armed Forces Day, President Md. Bangabhaban this evening. The chiefs of the three forces paid a courtesy call on Sahabuddin.

Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman, Navy Chief Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hasan and Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan met the President at 7 pm.

President's press secretary. Zainal Abedin said, “The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces informed the President about the various activities of their respective forces.”

President congratulated all members of the armed forces and their families on the occasion of Sahabuddin Day.

Referring to the armed forces formed through the liberation war as a symbol of our pride, the head of state said, besides protecting the independence and sovereignty of the country, the members of the armed forces are brightening the image of the country by performing their duties in peace missions in different countries of the world.

President Sahabuddin also appreciated the role of the armed forces in maintaining law and order and establishing peace in the country after the anti-discrimination student movement.

President Sahabuddin hopes that the members of the armed forces will be able to contribute more to the development of the country in the future by increasing their professional skills.

At this time, the concerned secretaries of Bangabhaban were present.
