Chief of Army Staff General Walker-uz-Zaman was inducted into the prestigious 'Hall of Fame' as the seventh Army Chief at the Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) located in Bhatiari, Chittagong.
He was awarded this honor on Monday. The army chief's wife was present at that time.

It is said that General Waqar-uz-Zaman, who has a distinguished military life, was commissioned in the Corps of Infantry after completing training with 13 BMA long-term courses from Bangladesh Military Academy on December 20, 1985.
GOC, Artdoc, Commandant, EBRC, GOC, 24th Infantry Division, Adjutant General, Commandant, BMA, Military Secretary along with Army Headquarters, Chittagong Cantonment and senior and various ranks of BMA army officers were present on the occasion.
It is noted that on June 23 this year, he took charge of the Bangladesh Army as the 18th Army Chief.
