Google has added a new feature called 'Battery Charging Limit' to Android 15 to keep the phone's battery good. Finally, the feature is going to be added to Pixel phones. Through this, the maximum limit of battery charging can be set at 80 percent. As a result, when the battery charge of the phone is 80 percent, charging will stop automatically. This will reduce the stress on the battery. As a result there will be less damage to the battery.
The feature was supposed to be introduced in the Android 15 QPR1 update last December. Now the feature will be rolled out to all Pixel phones in phases.
This feature was first spotted by a Telegram user. Own Pixel phone AP 3 A.241105. He noticed the feature after updating to version 007. This new option can be found in the 'Battery Share' section. Another option of Google is the option of 'Adaptive charging'. Adaptive charging slows down the charging speed while charging the phone overnight. As a result, the battery of the smartphone is good.
Charging the battery to 100 percent for a long time puts extra stress on it. However, by limiting the maximum charge to 80 percent, the stress on it is reduced and the battery lasts longer. Such a feature is also present in the iOS 18 update of the iPhone.
This 'Battery Charging Limit' feature will be available on Pixel phones through the latest Android update this month. It will also be available on other Android phones later. However, if this charging limit is 80 percent, the phone can be used relatively less time per charge.
Those who are worried about their phone battery will benefit from the device feature. Last year, Google promised to provide 7 years of software updates to Pixel flagship phones. Therefore, technology analysts believe that the Pixel devices can be used for a long time as a result of receiving software updates for a long time through this new feature.
